Major changes are coming in the “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale, and fan-favorite couples will definitely be affected. While episode 21 left the lives of Elena (Nina Dobrev), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) hanging in the balance, audiences know at least one of them will be around for Season 7: Bonnie. However, Elena will definitely leave, and that means Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will be available. Will Damon get together with Bonnie after Elena’s exit?

Damon and Bonnie have quite a following online, known as Bamon shippers, and they’d be thrilled to see the relationship happen. And it sounds like actress Graham is ready for Bonnie to get more one-on-one time with the vampire as well.

“I’m a fan of anything with Ian,” Graham told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m hoping that they can explore that really sort of layered relationship. I’ve always been a fan of for them.”

Could Graham be preparing viewers for Damon’s new love? In a similar response, she hinted at a relationship between Damon and Bonnie last week. “So I’m looking forward to working with Ian a lot more,” Graham told the Hollywood Reporter. “I think we’re going to do some really cool work together. ... Whenever Ian and I have a scene together, I just feel extremely confident we’re going to get some great moments together and be there for each other as actors.”

Plenty of fans are into the idea, but there is a group that isn’t quite ready to move on from the epic romance between Damon and Elena. It also will probably take some time for Damon to move on from the girl he was willing to become human for. Luckily, it doesn’t appear Graham has her heart set on a Bonnie/Damon relationship. It seems she’s happy to be paired up with any characters the writers see fit.

“I’ve never not once shipped my character with an actor or actress on the show,” Graham told EW. “I’m all about exploring characters’ sexuality and stuff like that, and I’m hoping that Bonnie, through her new empowerment, will start to discover another side of herself as well, maybe something that hasn’t really been a focus on the show.”

Fans will have to wait and see where the Bonnie-Damon relationship is at the end of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale, but a romantic relationship would probably wait until Season 7. Graham previously teased an “epic battle” in the finale, and it looks like that could cause quite a few casualties that will definitely take precedence over any potential love connections.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale will be shown on the CW Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT. Do you think Bonnie and Damon will get together in Season 7? Sound off in the comments section below!
