WALL-E the Disney-Pixar film about a junk-collecting robot and documentary Man on Wire were the best reviewed films of 2008, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the review-compiling site.

The WALL-E win is the fifth time a Pixar movie has been named best wide release film of the year by Rotten Tomatoes.

The films are ranked based on published opinions of more than 200 top film critics aggregated by Rotten Tomatoes, which is compiled as film's Tomatometer scores.

WALL-E scored 96 percent on the Tomatometer, meaning 96 percent of its reviews were favorable. While Man, the top limited release check in with a unanimous 100 percent.
