A netizen wondered if Prince Harry was ever told to take a paternity test due to the rumors about him being Princess Diana’s son with a cavalry officer.

For years, there have been rumors claiming that Prince Harry’s real father is James Hewitt because they share the same hair color. Although Hewitt already denied it, the speculations persist.

One netizen turned to Quora and asked if the Duke of Sussex was ever told to take a paternity test to see if he is really Prince Charles’ son because he resembles Hewitt. A number of netizens responded to the query and the majority agreed that it was not necessary.

Janine Blackburn, a royal watcher, believed that the paternity test was not needed because Prince Harry actually looked like Prince Charles. She pointed out the similarities in their eyes, nose and mouth.

“I don’t think we need a DNA test and it’s rude to suggest it,” she wrote.

“Oh yes, plenty of people have suggested that. They are generally people with very little grasp of reality,” Dave Cross, a Republican, wrote.

He pointed out that Princess Diana and Hewitt’s relationship was common knowledge. However, it seemed to be less commonly known that they only met when Prince Harry was already 2 years old.

“So unless you’re suggesting something involving a time machine, your conspiracy theory seems to be disproven rather easily,” he added.

Another netizen shared a number of snaps of Prince Harry and Prince Charles and stressed that the Duke of Sussex doesn’t look like Hewitt in any way except for the red hair. Also, the Spencers have the red hair trait, so he could have inherited his ginger hair from his mom’s side.

A different user said that it would be “insulting to Prince Harry’s heritage” to ask for a paternity test because he is no doubt a child of Prince Charles. Meghan Markle’s husband doesn’t only resemble his father, he also looked like his grandfather, Prince Philip.

Also, there were a lot of photos showing Prince Harry inheriting some of the genes from the royal family. In another thread, the netizens agreed that he is a Windsor.

“Harry is definitely a Mountbatten / Windsor - All you have to do is look carefully at Harry’s nasion, the midline bony depression between eyes where the frontal and two nasal bones meet. His is identical to both his father, Charles and his grandfather Phillip,” Angela Grier wrote.
