Dramatic video footage from Dec. 2 shows a man dressed as Santa Claus crashing into a tree and falling on a Florida beach.

The man identified as George Krokus was dressed as Santa Claus on Saturday as he delivered toys to the Tampa Bay Beach Bums Operation Santa Charity Volleyball Tournament in Gulfport Beach, Florida.

It was while making a grand entrance by skydiving that Krokus crashed into a tree and a light pole before he hit the Florida beach and broke his leg in the process. According to a report in Time Magazine, Krokus fell down while dropping off an elf toy for a 9-year-old girl named Madison Spiers.

The crash was witnessed by Spiers who told Fox News an elf named "Kristoff" visits her during the holidays.

Speaking about the crash she said: "I felt bad, because I never really seen anyone skydive and that was the first time I saw someone skydive and it didn’t turn out that well, so I felt really bad."

However, post the accident, Spiers revealed that she received a note from elf Kristoff reassuring her that he is doing just fine.

"As we were about to land this big tree jumped right out in front of us!...Don’t worry though…now G (Krokus) and I are resting in this hotel that they keep calling a 'hospital!' G has reservations for a few more days, going to hang out with him so he doesn’t feel lonely!!" the note read.

The news sure came as relief for Spiers' mother's boyfriend, Dominic Nelson, who helped organize the event and was seemingly unaware of Krokus' plan.

"I don’t know where elves get their information, but I guess he found out that Santa wanted to bring him a little more excitement and get him down to Madison because he knew she’d be there selling raffle tickets and be in support of the event. So I think he wanted to, I guess they like to pull pranks and this was one of his pranks."

The report in Fox News suggests that Krokus had a second surgery on his leg on Tuesday and is expected to make a full recovery. Nelson also set a GoFundMe page to help him with his medical bills.
