The Coast Guard is looking for a rogue pilot. Someone flew a plane under Michigan’s Mackinac Bridge, and now, authorities are asking for help identifying the stuntman.

The incident took place Sunday, June 28, and a Coast Guard small boat crew captured video from a distance but not close enough to properly identify the aircraft. The unknown pilot decided to fly his small plane very close to the water before going just under the Mackinac Bridge in St. Ignace.

Both state police detectives and the Coast Guard Investigative Service are hoping that civilians may have caught some better pictures. “State Police Detective Sgt. Gary Demers said hundreds of cars were on the bridge when the incident took place,” according to a press release. People were traveling ahead of July 4.

“This was extremely reckless behavior on the part of the pilot, and it imperiled the safety of everyone on the bridge that day,” Demers said. “We hope that someone can come forward with information to help us make sure it doesn't happen again.”

At its highest point, the Mackinac Bridge is 199 feet above water. The Federal Aviation Administration bars planes from flying within 500 feet of people or structures, such as bridges, over open water, Business Insider reports. The FAA's enforcement division could charge between $1,100 and $27,500 for the violation if they find the renegade airman.
