A fire and oil explosion was reported Friday night near Windsor in Weld County, Colorado.

According to a report in Fox-affiliated television station KDVR News, one worker was injured in the incident which started just before 9 p.m. local time (11 p.m. EST) near Highway 392 and Weld County Road 21.

According to a spokesman for the Windsor Fire Department, the fire was brought under control two hours after it started around 11 p.m. (1 a.m. EST) as several crews from agencies all across the state of Colorado arrived to fight the fire at the scene. The worker who was reported injured during the incident was also reportedly taken to the hospital, however, his condition still remains unknown.

Rachel McCarter described the incident and said that she heard an explosion so loud that the whole house shook. “Loud boom and house shook. Hearing there may be a fire at a well site,” she said.

Firefighters used foam to control the fire. Reports state that the fire was difficult to control because the fighters were unaware of the substance burning. The Sheriff’s office in a statement said, “Preliminary information suggests that this was an industrial accident, and the scene is being turned over to Windsor Fire for further investigation.”

Roads were also closed from Highway 257 to Weld County Road 23 during the fire operations were taking place.
