HBO series “Westworld” has its third season approaching in just a few short months and we’ve only been given tiny bits of information about the sci-fi series. From new cast members to plot and release date, here is everything we know so far about “Westworld” Season 3.

Going off the trailer, “Westworld” Season 3 is looking to do things a lot differently than the previous two seasons. For starters, we are introduced to the new character Caleb, played by Aaron Paul, who seems to be some kind of criminal in a huge cyberpunk landscape. In fact, you wouldn’t know it was a “Westworld” season at all until the final moments reveal Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores Abernathy, tattered and emerging from the darkness and revealing herself.

Season 2 of “Westworld” was more of the same in terms of where the story went in relation to Season 1, with the exception of a new section of the theme park being introduced -- one that took our “Hosts” to an Eastern Ronan-themed park. These two sections clashed, while Dolores and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) escaped to the real world or the “valley beyond.” This season received mixed reviews and had a dull reaction compared to its grand opening first season.

Ed Harris is slated to return, though his character passed away in the last season. In a post-credits scene, we see what’s presumably an android replica of him speaking to his daughter. We will likely see where that goes in season 3.

What we do know of the “Westworld” season 3 plot involves Dolores befriending Caleb in a dystopian cyberpunk Los Angeles, where she witnesses how more brutalist robots are treated in the real world, hardening her hatred for mankind. According to Indiewire, the season is told in a more linear fashion than previous seasons that relied on time jumps for context.

“Westworld” season 3 will release on HBO on March 15.
