Joe Buck has announced that he’ll be one of the many guest hosts on “Jeopardy!,” which will put him in the running to potentially become the full-time host.

The 51-year-old is a sportscaster who’s worked with Fox Sports and has been the main voice of the NFL and the MLB since the 1996 World Series. His father is Jack Buck, also a well-known sports broadcaster.

His episodes are reported to air sometime in the summer, but it hasn’t been confirmed whether he’ll be hosting for just a week, or two weeks, according to the New York Post.

Many people aren't too excited about this announcement, explaining that his voice isn't exciting enough for the job. The internet has been suggesting "Reading Rainbow's" Levar Burton to take the place of Alex Trebek, not Buck.

Football star, Aaron Rodgers was the most recent host and others throughout 2021 include Katie Couric, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Ken Jennings and the executive producer of the show, Mike Richards.
