Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton were previously accused of cashing in on Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding years ago.

Even though the couple has already been married for 8 years, the allegations once again resurfaced after an interviewer said that he wants to get a real answer from the Middletons.

In the latest episode of Yahoo’s “White Wine Question Time,” broadcaster Eammon Holmes said that he wants to ask the Duchess of Cambridge’s mom if Middleton and Prince William’s wedding was all set up. He also wants to ask the mom of two what it was like meeting Queen Elizabeth II for the first time.

“I’d say, ‘C’mon did you plan it? Was it all setup?’ How important was it for you that the kid ended up with William?’ I’d ask, ‘What was it like meeting Queenie and Prince Philip? Has it changed your life? Have you cashed in on being connected to the royals?’” he said.

Host Kate Thorton asked Holmes if he thinks Pippa Middleton’s tom set up her daughter and son-in-law’s wedding to cash in on the royal. But the broadcaster said that he’s the interviewer so he’s not supposed to reveal what he thinks about the matter.

In 2010, the Middletons were accused of cashing in on the royal wedding after they promoted their services on Party Pieces. In one of their post, the brand encouraged their clients to dream like a princess and to throw parties like a princess.

The promotion was criticized by the public especially since the royal family advised the Middletons to steer clear from any business activities that appear to exploit the royal connection.

“The royal family is very keen to ensure that the wedding is not seen as a business opportunity for the Middletons and their associates,” a palace courtier told The Telegraph.

After years of constant scrutiny, the Middletons managed to live quiet lives.
