“The Crown” won’t be back for quite a while, but luckily, there is another TV show that highlights everyone’s favorite princess: Margaret. The sister of Queen Elizabeth II gets the spotlight in PBS’ “Margaret: The Rebel Princess.”

The two-part special will be an intimate look at Princess Margaret’s life, much of which has been chronicled on Netflix’s “The Crown.” Fans have grown to love the rule-breaking royal, played by Vanessa Kirby in the first two seasons. The docuseries kicks off Sunday with a look back at much of what “The Crown” covered.

Part One will show Margaret’s upbringing and her first scandals. She was just 16 when she fell in love with married photographer Peter Townsend. She later marries Lord Snowdon, a photographer and “commoner.” The royals soon start to be seen as celebrities.

Part Two will take viewers beyond what “The Crown” has shown so far, and it might give fans a glimpse at what to expect in Seasons 3 and 4 of the drama, where Helena Bonham-Carter will play the princess.

Next week’s installment of “Margaret: The Rebel Princess” will pick up in the mid-1960s when Margaret and Lord Snowdon go on a royal tour across the U.S, and they get a taste of Hollywood royalty. The special will follow Margaret through her 1978 divorce and beyond.

PBS promises the docuseries includes “rare footage and interviews with those who knew her best.”

“Margaret: The Rebel Princess” premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. EST on PBS. Part Two airs Feb. 17 at 10 p.m. EST.

It’s the best fans can get until Netflix announces a release date for “The Crown” Season 3. The series is filming Seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back, but there are still no announcements about when fans can expect new episodes.
