“Scandal” fans are going to have to keep waiting for the Season 6 premiere! Although ShondaLand’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away With Murder” are set to return tonight, a new TV series called “Notorious” will be airing during “Scandal’s” normal 9 p.m. time slot.

ABC released their fall 2016 TV schedule in May, which first informed viewers that “Scandal” Season 6 would be delayed. The premiere delay is due to star Kerry Washington, who is pregnant with her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha. Washington portrays fixer Olivia Pope, and the show is choosing not to write her pregnancy into the storyline.

The 39-year-old actress previously joked on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that the series is resorting to “big coats” and “big bags” to hide her baby bump. The show used similar tactics during filming in Season 3 — including strategically placed lamps — when Washington was pregnant with her first child.

“Scandal” Season 6 will premiere mid-season in 2017. No exact date has been announced, however, fans can fill their “TGIT” lineup with “Notorious,” which stars Piper Perabo (“Covert Affairs”) and Daniel Sunjata (“Rescue Me”). The new TV show is about a TV producer named Julia George (Perabo), who works with defense attorney Jake Gregorian (Sunjata) to spin the news. “Notorious” is based on the true-life story of celebrity criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, who had a working relationship with “Larry King Live” executive producer Wendy Walker. Geragos, who has represented stars like Chris Brown and Winona Ryder, is an executive producer on “Notorious,” along with Walker.

Catch the “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 13 premiere on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT, followed by the “Notorious” series premiere at 9 p.m. EDT and the “How to Get Away With Murder” Season 3 premiere at 10 p.m. EDT.
