Jake Paul found himself in hot water on Twitter after the social media influencer credited himself for making content house creation and influencer boxing popular.

On Sunday, the YouTube star shared a post in which he accused other people of following his career moves and commended himself for putting previously untapped fields of the entertainment industry on the map.

“I create the first content house. Then there’s 500 content houses. I start boxing. Now every influencer is a boxer. What’s next? Y’all gon get raided by the FBI on purpose?” Paul tweeted.

However, shortly after he shared the post, people began commenting on the tweet to inform Paul that he wasn’t the first in any of the things he claimed.

Many pointed out that there were plenty of other content houses and high-profile boxing matches before he and his Team 10 came along.

“You didn’t start any of these things. CoD Clan houses started content houses way before you, and KSI and Joe Weller were the ones who started the boxing trend, as for the raid, Lionmaker got raided before you as well,” one person tweeted.

Another person added, “FaZe House NY and Sidemen were the OG content houses. Joe Weller and Theo Baker were the OG YT Boxers. Just stop it’s embarrassing.”

Meanwhile, one person questioned Paul about his goal of openly taking credit for making some things popular.

“So wait... You’re complaining that, as an obliquely self-proclaimed influencer, you have influence? Did I get that right? ‘Hey, look at this thing I can do but DON’T copy me!’ Is that your motive here?” the individual tweeted.

In August, Paul’s Calabasas home was raided by the FBI agents in connection to a riot at an Arizona shopping mall. Agents seized multiple firearms at the time, but no arrests were made.
