The “Avengers 4” trailer is coming out soon, and some fans believe it will drop tonight. Some reports suggest that directors Joe and Anthony Russo will release the highly-anticipated video Wednesday.

The release date is top secret, but the Russos have an “Avengers: Infinity War” screening with fans tonight. The event, hosted by Collider, is set to start at 6:30 p.m. PST at the ArcLight Hollywood in Los Angeles. A theater with more than 800 fans seems a likely location for a trailer release, so it’s easy to see how that rumor started.

However, the release date hasn’t been confirmed, and trailers for Marvel movies haven’t been debuting at fan events recently. Both the “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Captain Marvel” promos premiered on Good Morning America, which airs on ABC. Like Marvel Studios, the network is owned by Disney, a company that loves synergy.

Since the “Avengers 4” trailer is so highly anticipated, it wouldn’t be surprising if the promo video release was used to bring viewers into another Disney-owned program, whether it be “GMA” or Monday Night Football (where “Star Wars” trailers have previously debuted). Though it’s also worth noting that Disney dropped trailers for “The Lion King” and “Artemis Fowl” this month without any notice.

Fans are right to assume the trailer is coming out soon. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reportedly confirmed that the clip would release before the end of the year, and Nov. 29 is the exact date that the “Avengers: Infinity War” trailer premiered.

Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito confirmed that an exact release date has been set for the “Avengers 4” trailer, but he has to keep it secret. “I know the date and want to reveal it, but I can’t. Be patient,” he tweeted last week.

Many assume that the trailer, which is expected to finally reveal the much-hyped title, has to release before Dec. 5. That’s the date that the “Avengers 4” prelude comes out. The prelude comics typically just recap the movie that came out most recently, and the comic always shares the title of the upcoming movie followed by the word “Prelude.” Readers expect that Marvel will not call it “Avengers 4 Prelude” and instead use the official title.

Unfortunately, that might not be true. Express revealed the covers for the prelude comics, and they simply say “Avengers Prelude.”
