Camilla Parker Bowles is in New Zealand for her royal tour with Prince Charles. During her outing, the Duchess of Cornwall was praised by a group of fans.

While walking on the Auckland Harbor, the future Queen shook hands with her supporters, and she also managed to exchange a few words with them. Several royal fans told the mom of two that she looks beautiful. Others also asked the heir to the throne’s wife if she has recovered from her chest infection.

But it was one comment that made Camilla grin from ear to ear. One royal fan told her that she will be a great queen, and she couldn’t agree more. The Duchess of Cornwall was photographed nodding her head upon hearing the compliment.

While speaking with Good Housekeeping, royal expert Penny Junor said that the public’s perception towards the Duchess of Cornwall has improved in recent years. However, this doesn’t mean that those who still hold a grudge against her would be looking forward to the day that she becomes Queen.

But regardless if she gets everyone’s approval or not, Junor is confident that Camilla will be a great and supportive Queen to her husband.

“She will give him [Charles] the strength and the confidence to do the job he was born to do. He will be a better king for having her by his side,” she said.

When the time comes that Camilla is named Queen, Junor said that she may receive an entirely different treatment from the public.

“There is a big difference between being heir and duchess and being king and queen. Their duties and responsibilities will be different, the public attitude towards them will be different, and I suspect that this will inevitably change them,” she said.

In 2005, Clarence House said that Camilla will not adopt the title of Queen Consort or Princess of Wales as a sign of respect to the late Princess Diana. But this too may eventually change.
