Despite CBS’ long-running crime drama, “Blue Bloods,” airing its Season 9 finale tonight, it’s showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

In April, the network announced that not only had the show been renewed for Season 10, but that star Tom Selleck had signed a new deal to continue on with the series. By not getting canceled, “Blue Bloods” will be able to reach its milestone 200th episode when it returns in the fall.

“BLUE BLOODS has been a top-10 drama and Friday’s top-rated show every year it’s been on the air,” Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, said in a press release last month. “On a night that many have claimed is quiet for broadcast television, its quality writing, superb acting and familial warmth have attracted an average of over 13 million passionate viewers each week for nine years. We are delighted that Tom will return and that the show will continue to be a vital component of the CBS schedule next season.”

Before Season 10 arrives, fans still have the Season 9 finale, written by Brian Burns and directed by David Barrett, to enjoy. Titled “Something Blue,” Season 9, episode 22 of “Blue Bloods” sees Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie’s (Vanessa Ray) wedding day fast approaching.

“Frank worries about the toast he’ll deliver at their rehearsal dinner,” the synopsis reveals. “Also, Erin [Bridget Moynahan] interviews a witness whose story leads her to doubt Eddie’s honesty, since she took his initial statement, and Danny [Donnie Wahlberg] and Baez [Marisa Ramirez] unravel the complicated love life of a young homicide victim.”

Check out the Season 9 finale of “Blue Bloods” on Friday at 10 p.m. EDT.
