Season 1 of Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” just released on the streaming platform Friday, but the show’s future has already been revealed.

Fans don’t have to spend days, weeks or months wondering whether the series has been renewed or canceled because when Netflix picked it up at the end of last year, they picked it up for not one but two seasons. The first of which was released Friday and is comprised of 10 episodes.

As an hour-long horror-drama, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” which was created by “Riverdale” executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, is very different from the 1996 Melissa Joan Hart series, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” This new incarnation of the tale follows Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) as she turns 16 and must spend more of her time in Greendale’s magical community. As a half-mortal/half-witch, she fights to keep living in both of those worlds and won’t give in to the Dark Lord, like the rest of the coven, without a fight.

Whether you’ve already had the chance to binge all of Season 1 or you’re still working your way through it, you can rest assured that episode 10 is not the end and only the season finale. When Season 2 arrives, it’ll feature another 10 episodes. While there’s no release date yet, the cast is already filming the new season.

“We went straight into the second season from the first, and it’s been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we’re already in such a rhythm from coming out of the first season that to jump right into the second one was really, really fun and just a great opportunity to keep the momentum going,” Shipka told Bloody Disgusting earlier this week.

She continued to tease the new episodes: “We definitely… Sabrina definitely changes and shifts a lot. Her growth is very evident, and the second season definitely has a different spin on it than the first season. They’re very different from each other.”

IMDb currently has the release year for Season 2 as 2019, but that could still change and there’s been no official announcement from Netflix about that yet. Until it does come out, you can keep watching and rewatching “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” Season 1 on Netflix.
