Woman Chases Down And Shoots At Her Ex-Boyfriend And His New Female Friend

Fort Wayne, Indiana -- A woman allegedly chased down her ex-boyfriend and his new female friend and fired a gun at them in Indiana. Carmen M. Mousavi was arrested and charged Monday with domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon.

Mousavi, 36, allegedly confronted her ex-boyfriend and his friend outside a movie theater shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, WANE 15 reported.

The man told police that they were leaving the Regal Coldwater Crossing 14 cinema after watching a film when Mousavi pulled up in her Ford 150 pickup truck and began verbally harassing them.

The ex-boyfriend said he and his female friend got inside his own Cadillac and began driving away, according to court documents. Mousavi began chasing them in her pickup truck and allegedly fired a shot into the man’s vehicle when they were near a traffic light.

The man suffered a wound as the bullet grazed the back of his upper right shoulder before striking the woman in her chest.

The ex-boyfriend pulled over and called 911 to report the shooting. The woman was taken to the hospital and was brought to a stable condition.

Police spoke to the man, who said he was sure Mousavi was the one who fired at them. He also provided a description of Mousavi’s vehicle to cops and said her truck had a broken headlight, according to the Journal Gazette.

Fort Wayne Police managed to find Mousavi’s truck near her house. She attempted to flee from officers, but cops made a felony traffic stop, according to court documents.

Cops found a Taurus G3C 9mm semiautomatic handgun inside her truck.

Mousavi, who refused to speak to cops, was booked into Allen County Jail on Monday and is currently facing the two felony charges. She was released on monitored conditional release without bail after her initial hearing and is scheduled to appear in court again at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators also spoke to the ex-boyfriend’s female friend in the hospital. Her account of the events matched the man’s story, and she said she didn’t know anything about Mousavi apart from him being the man’s ex.
