Bryan Singer is giving final touches to the opening scene of “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The director recently shared an Instagram post where he can be seen having a discussion with his production designer about the first scene of the film. In the background, a statue of a lion's head can be seen hanging on the wall. The post was captioned, “Yesterday the Aussies, today my Production Designer Grant Major #lotr #newzealand and I discuss final touches for the opening of the movie which we are of course shooting on Day 58. #setlife #xmen #apocalypse #XMen15.”

Not much is known about the opening sequence of the film, but according to online speculation it can feature Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) as Singer has recently started shooting scenes with him. What adds more to the speculation is the post-credit sequence of “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” where a crowd was seen chanting the name of En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse as he is building pyramids. His four horsemen were seen watching him from nearby.

Meanwhile, the first look at Isaac’s version of Apocalypse was recently revealed in Entertainment Weekly. He can be seen in blue costume and blue make-up. The costume reportedly went through many versions.

“We had to do some adjustments here and there and be like, alright, maybe this is too alien. He also is someone who people would want to follow and not just be terrified of. So the balance, and then making sure that there’s some great elements from the comic but also making our own thing as well. In the comic, he generally is like 12 feet, 600 pounds,” said Isaac.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” concerns Apocalypse, who is the first mutant and was born in Egypt 5,000 years ago. The film also stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. It opens My 27, 2016.
