They have been rushed to get to this point because of her health following a car accident, but despite knowing their marriage won’t be a long one, Devon and Hilary will overcome all of the odds in an effort to say their I do’s to one another one last time on the Thursday, July 26 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After the car accident that killed the baby she was carrying, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) had hoped they would still have a future together on the CBS soap. However, Devon was devastated to learn from Nate (Darnell Brooks) that Hilary’s condition was much worse than expected, and that barring a miracle, she wouldn’t make it. Determined to make her final days as special as possible, Devon proposed to her again and swore he’d marry her in the next few days. Hilary later figured out on her own that she was dying, and while the news broke her down even more, she vowed she would fight to make the most out of the little time she had left.

Now, the couple’s wedding day has arrived, and they will do whatever they can to make it worth their small amount of time together.

Hilary’s delicate status will bring a complication to the mix as a situation unfolds which reminds everyone once again how quickly she’s deteriorating, but the plans will still go on after she insists that they do. In addition to her wedding, however, Hilary will also be able to get the closure she needs with one last member of the Winters family, after already making amends with both Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard). Neil (Kristoff St. John) will share a tender moment with her as they too bury the hatchet of animosity they shared, and he will then prepare as his son moves to wed the woman he loves.

Then, with the help of everyone around them who loves them, Devon and Hilary will have their bedside wedding ceremony, and officially be declared husband and wife once again. However, even as beautiful as the moment will be, no one will forget that there is a dark cloud hanging over them all, as Hilary continues to worsen and comes closer and closer to her final day.
