His brother forced him to make a decision between keeping his company or his son, and now, as Nick realizes he’s out of options, he will be forced to make a decision about which one he hands off to Adam on the Tuesday, June 11 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

In his quest to get the things he wants, Adam (Marc Grossman) bought out Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) debts for Dark Horse and told his brother he had 24 hours to choose—he could keep his company, or keep the little boy he’s known as his son. Since then on the CBS soap, Nick has refused to give up Christian but also doesn’t want to lose the company he built on his own. Now, he will search for any help he can get to try and save both.

“Nick fights for Dark Horse,” spoilers reveal.

Nick will try to see if anyone can and will give him financial help for paying back the $27 million to Adam, but he likely won’t have many people he can ask. As a result, he may go to the last person he wants for help—their father, Victor (Eric Braden).

A preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows him discussing Adam with Victor and urging his father to stop putting him on a pedestal, meaning he will likely go to him and either ask for the money or for help convincing Adam to leave him alone. Since Victor is determined to bring Adam back into the family fold though, it seems unlikely that it will be a success.

As a result, the time will likely come for Nick to reveal what he chooses to save to Adam—and as much as he wants both, he will need to give up something. Considering he was making a lot of effort to save the company, and he refuses to let go of Adam’s biological son, he will say goodbye to Dark Horse and officially give up in his quest to beat his manipulative brother.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
