He came to Genoa City to see if meeting the family he left behind there can jog the memories he’s lost of the life he had before an explosion they thought killed him. Now, after another failed meeting with his brother, Adam may decide the time has finally come to give up on the experiment and head back to Las Vegas on the Friday, May 17 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Adam (Mark Grossman) became furious after he learned that Victor (Eric Braden) thought reminding him of Delia’s death would help restore his memories and felt his father was pushing him too hard to remember his past on the CBS soap. However, Victor will once again take things too far it seems, as spoilers indicate that Adam won’t be in town much longer.

“Adam’s reunion with his family is short-lived,” spoilers reveal.

Considering Victor was previously trying to get a hold of Nick (Joshua Morrow), he likely believes that letting Adam spend some time with Christian is the key to getting his memories back. Now, if he brings Adam to Nick’s house to see his son, it could backfire as both men may reject the idea that he can force this to happen, especially since Christian has never known Adam to be his father.

If the meetup doesn’t work to restore Adam’s memories, then it could not only cause issues as the brothers both express disgust at Victor’s tactics and the fact that he’s willing to rip apart the stability Nick and Christian have together, but it could be the final straw for Adam when it comes to giving Genoa City a try at all.

However, if he tries to leave, Victor could try to pull out all the stops to make sure that doesn’t happen before he is ready, and since he always has another trick up his sleeve, Adam may find himself detained in town longer than expected.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
