Zendaya is one of the most talked-about celebrities in the Hollywood industry recently after bagging the Emmy Awards for best actress on Sunday.

Although Zendaya has been in the showbiz industry for quite some time, there are still a few things about the “Euphoria” actress people may not know of. Fans are in for a treat because Zendaya has revealed these interesting facts about her.

Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman was born on Sept. 1, 1996, in Oakland, California. Zendaya, daughter of Samuel David Coleman and Claire Marie Stoermer, explained that her name has deep connections to her roots —African and German ancestry.

The 24-year-old actress reportedly believed that she was a mix of all worlds. She revealed that her first name was African and her middle, which she got from her mom was French spelled in African, the Billboard reported.

“I literally like have a timeline and history in my name,” the actress said in an interview.

The “Euphoria” actress also said that her dad had a thing for the letter Z, so he helped named her Zendaya. She also revealed that her first name was inspired by a word in the Shona language, which meant “to give thanks,” the Insider reported.

Zendaya, who described herself as a shy and introverted person, reportedly said that she felt the pressure in post things on social media.

She was asked, during her interview with Vogue, how she coped with negativity and she replied, “show them compassion.” Zendaya also revealed, during the interview, that snow excites her and she felt more comfortable at home.

Talking about Zendaya’s home, it was reported last March that the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” actress acquired a $4 million estate in Los Angeles.

Zendaya’s nearly 5-acre compound boasts a 5,133-square-foot main house with 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a guest house and a pool area, Variety reported. It has been also reported that the entire place had tight security and the location’s hidden from curious eyes.

Zendaya was known for her roles “Spider-Man” franchise, “The Greatest Showman,” “Shake It Up” and “Disney K.C. Undercover.” However, the most unforgettable credit she received —by far— was being called as the youngest and second Black actress to win the Emmy Awards’ for outstanding lead actress in a drama series.

Zendaya said that she had mixed emotions while filming “Euphoria.” She revealed she filming the show made her feel excited, exhausted but fulfilled.
