Zsa Zsa Gabor died Sunday due to heart failure, according to reports. The glamorous Hungarian actress was 99 years old.

The actress, who got her start in entertainment after being crowned Miss Hungary in 1936, appeared in more than 60 films and TV roles throughout her longstanding career. However, it was Gabor’s love of marriage and glamour that may have brought her the most celebrity. The “Moulin Rouge” actress, known for calling everyone “dahlink,” was married at least eight times, but always managed to hold an optimistic outlook on love (and diamonds), despite her many and sometimes messy divorces.

Check out a few of Gabor’s best quotes on love, men and marriage featured in her New York Times and Time magazine obituary below:

“I never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back.”

“Husbands are like fires. They go out when unattended.”

“A man in love is incomplete until he has married. Then he’s finished.”

“A girl must marry for love, and keep on marrying until she finds it.”

“I don’t remember anybody’s name. Why do you think the ‘dahling’ thing started?”.

“Every girl should be married at least once in her life. It’s a must.”

“Sexual attraction only lasts two years, and who wants to stay with a man if you’re not sexually attracted?”

“You never really know a man until you have divorced him.”

“I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house.”

“It’s never as easy to keep your own spouse happy as it is to make someone else’s spouse happy.”

“Other women find love and happiness. I find only disenchantment.”

“A woman who tells her age tells everything, and I won’t tell it.”

“I’m not a girl who sits home and knits, you know.”

“Being jealous of a beautiful woman is not going to make you beautiful.”
