Celebrities — they’re just like us. That’s how many viewers felt after Adele’s second performance of the night during Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

The “Hello” singer was chosen to perform a slow version of “Fast Love” as a tribute to George Michael. Nearly halfway into her performance, Adele, 25, stopped the music and requested a do over. She apologized for swearing but said that she refused to “mess this up for him.” The music restarted and she gave it her all, though it was clear that she was rattled.

Fans and those in attendance at the 59th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles rallied around Adele. At the close of her performance the social media site was flooded with supportive messages. Many praised her for her realness and accepting her flaws. Celebrities in the audience clapped vigorously and appeared sympathetic for Adele, who took a moment to collect herself before facing them.

This isn’t the first time Adele’s suffered a performance mishap during the Grammys. In 2016, while singing “All I Ask” off her album “25,” she ran into some difficulties with her instruments. The performance kicked off with a strange clanging sound, which Adele later confirmed was caused by a mic falling onto piano strings.

Adele’s tribute to Michael, who died on Dec. 25, 2016, is just one of many scheduled to take place during the Grammys. Bruno Mars, who also performed early in the show, is set to honor Prince.
