May Sweeps got off to a big start on with endless drama that rocked both the fans watching the action unfolding on their TV screens and the characters who saw their lives take unexpected turns on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

From the devastating blows, dramatic reveals and unexpected upheavals and conflicts, there was barely a minute of calm in Salem, Genoa City and Los Angeles. In case you missed a minute of the action, here are the five biggest moments that unfolded during the week of May 6.

“Days Of Our Lives” (NBC)

The Kidnapping Situation Takes A Horrific Turn

Things took an unexpected turn no one could have predicted as the search for Holly continued. After suspecting Ted (Gilles Marini) wasn’t being honest, Rafe (Galen Gering) defied orders to follow him and wound up chasing a car that he believed contained Holly—which went over a ravine, and the people inside were killed. Now, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is devastated and inconsolable over her daughter’s death, Rafe has been suspended from work and his marriage to Hope (Kristian Alfonso) has imploded, and the real kidnappers are walking freely through Salem—with no one any the wiser that they staged the whole thing.

The Election Gets Underway

It’s been a long process full of debates, reveals and dirty tricks, but the citizens of Salem have finally taken to the polls and are deciding on whether they will elect Jack (Matthew Ashford) or Abe (James Reynolds) to be their mayor. However, there was still time for one more huge shock, as Eve (Kassie DePaiva) threatened Haley (Thia Megia) with a recording that claimed her marriage to Tripp (Lucas Adams) was fake and ordered her to come clean to the press. She did, and now she’s preparing to face the consequences.

“Young And The Restless” (CBS)

Sharon Gets A Blast From The Past

After hearing from Victor (Eric Braden) that Adam was alive and in Las Vegas, Sharon’s (Sharon Case) world was turned upside down. Now, she has been actively trying to help find a way to convince him to return to Genoa City, even though he doesn’t remember his life there. Now, she has met with him face-to-face—and what will happen from that point on could change life for every single member of the Newman family going forward.

“Bold And The Beautiful” (CBS)

Wyatt And Sally Break Up

After finally coming clean about Thomas’ (Matthew Atkinson) plan, Sally (Courtney Hope) paid the price for not being honest with Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Not only has she moved out of his home, but their relationship is barely hanging on at all. She has resolved to keep fighting, but Wyatt already seems like he’s good with moving on—with Flo (Katrina Bowden).

Liam And Thomas Battle Over Hope

Meanwhile, after Wyatt told his brother that Thomas was trying to break up his marriage, Liam (Scott Clifton) rushed back to Los Angeles from Paris to confront the other man and defend the union he has with Hope (Annika Noelle). However, Thomas refused to back down, and now Liam is putting the ball in his wife’s court—and letting her decide what she wants.
