While many people want to wait until Thanksgiving is over to start breaking out the Christmas movies, Netflix has already created a section dedicated to its 2020 holiday titles on its app.

Since December is just a few days away, playing Christmas movies while making dinner, decorating the house, or while online shopping on the couch, is sure to put anyone in the holiday spirit. Here are six movies that are streaming right now on Netflix that are sure to spark some joy.

“How The Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000)

This classic Christmas live-action film stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch and Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who. After the Grinch steals Christmas from Whoville, he learns about compassion and kindness and it changes the way he views the holiday.

“The Christmas Chronicles” (2018/2020)

In this Netflix original, a brother and a sister help St. Nicholas (Kurt Russell) save Christmas after crashing his sleigh. Its sequel, “The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two,” will be released on Wednesday and follows the now teenaged children as they try to save Christmas at the North Pole.

“A Bad Mom’s Christmas” (2017)

All of the original "Bad Moms" are back in this Christmas special. As the moms -- played by Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn -- prepare for the holidays, their own mothers show up, which causes stress around all of the houses. While trying to make Christmas perfect for their own families, they now have to make it extra special for their guests.

“Holiday in the Wild” (2019)

This Netflix original features Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis whose characters meet in the heart of Africa. Kate (Davis) and Derek (Lowe) form a special bond while taking care of elephants and spending time in new surroundings.

"Klaus" (2019)

This animated special follows a postman that's been stationed at a remote northern location. It is there he finds Klaus, an ex-toy maker and who can ultimately save Christmas with all of his retired toys. This Academy Award-nominated film was directed by Sergio Pablos and Carlos Martínez López.

“Get Santa” (2014)

Santa ends up getting arrested and being put in jail after he’s said to have trespassed on a property when he really just accidentally crashed his sleigh there. As Christmas must go on, two civilians try and save the holiday by rescuing Santa from jail.

There are many options for holiday movies on Netflix. Whether it’s a comedy, a rom-com, a drama, or even baking competitions, Netflix has it all. Check out the complete list here.
