Abby Lee Miller is heading back to the small screen just over one year after being released from federal prison on bankruptcy fraud and tax evasion charges. On the show, she battles Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare and fast-growing cancer that affects the lymph nodes which has left her mainly confined to a wheelchair.

Ahead of her television comeback on Tuesday for a new season of Lifetime's "Dance Moms", the tough dance coach is talking about how she is handling life after prison and her health issues.

"I have good days and bad days,” the 53-year-old told the New York Post. Speaking about her health condition, she explained, "I’m not able to walk but I’m able to stand and can take steps. I’ve graduated to the walker again; I can walk about 10 steps and need a spotter behind me to block my knees from going down. It’s all due to the infection, the mass that choked my spinal cord."

But don't expect her trials and tribulations to impact Miller's tough demeanor that fans are used to seeing from her as she coaches young dancers on the reality show.

"You’re going to see the same Abby Lee, that’s for sure," she confirmed. "It may seem that I’m a little mellow and maybe I don’t care as much. But that’s not the case; it’s just that these kids are better [than the former ‘Dance Moms’ dancers]."

As for her legal issues, Miller says she was guided by people she shouldn't have followed. "I’m sorry for what I did and sorry it all happened. I made mistakes, trusted the wrong people. I should’ve been on top of it and there’s no one else to blame. It was my money, my situation. Was that the right punishment for the crime, being in a wheelchair and having Burkitt lymphoma? I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy."
