Amber Heard has turned off the comments section of her Instagram account.

A few weeks ago, an audio of Heard confessing that she hit her ex-husband Johnny Depp leaked. The “Aquaman” actress also taunted the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor to tell the world that he was the victim and see if many would believe that a man like him was abused by a woman like her.

Following the leakage, the netizens moved to campaign for justice for Depp. Heard received a lot of hateful comments on her social media accounts, with a lot of online users attacking her for lying and making up stories.

Amber didn’t mind the criticisms she received at first. She continued to post photos amid the controversy. However, the backlash never stopped and the actress eventually turned off the comments section of her account on Instagram.

Prior to this, many noticed that Heard has been deleting nasty comments on her posts.

“Keep deleting my comment,” mamangdarang wrote on Heard’s selfie.

“Literally commented on her first ever post and it got deleted,” madeline_.collins added.

Days after the post, Heard shared a black and white photo of herself. Shortly after she uploaded it, Depp’s supporters flooded it with hate comments again.

“I'm not even gonna be rude to you. What you did was highkey the lowest thing I've ever seen anybody do to another person. You ruined a mans life. I sincerely hope you live in regret and career spirals. You don’t deserve one,” ianeviston wrote.

“Amber, how does it feel to be the most hated actress in the world?” realfennekinflames2018 added.

Meanwhile, Depp revealed in his interview with Rolling Stone in 2018 that he suffered from acute depression following his divorce from Heard. The latter accused him of being violent and abusive. Also, Depp was facing financial woes at the time.

“The Rum Diary” actor admitted that he couldn’t take the pain he felt every day. He decided to write a memoir using a manual typewriter only to find himself crying to the point that he could no longer see the page anymore. He was wondering what he did to deserve it when he was being kind and truthful.

In another interview, Depp said that he knew the truth would eventually come out and when that happens he would be “standing on the right side of the roaring rapids.”
