American Horror Story: Apocalypse
Ms. Meade (Kathy Bates) will recover from an unexpected injury on “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 3. Kurt Iswarienko/FX

Halloween will come early this year and it will prove to be a night that some of the characters on “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 3, may not survive. When “Forbidden Fruit” airs on FX, the residents of Outpost 3 will begin to realize that no one is safe as they celebrate All Hallows’ Eve.

Here’s what you can expect to see in “American Horror Story” Season 8, episode 3.

1. PDA

When Timothy (Kyle Allen) and Emily (Ashley Santos) first arrived at Outpost 3, they were told that intimacy was forbidden. They attempted to follow the rules, but once they realized they could be stuck at Venable’s (Sarah Paulson) compound, they began to deviate from the set guidelines. In episode 2, the new couple was caught by Ms. Meade (Kathy Bates) and were expected to be murdered, but Timothy managed to shoot her instead. In the “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 3 promo, Emily and Timothy are seen standing by the fireplace with their arms interlaced as the rest of the group stares at Venable. How did the two manage to avoid execution? Why are they allowed to be affectionate with one another?

2. Ms. Meade Lives

The mysterious woman may be ruthless but it seems it is going to take a lot more than a gunshot to take her down. After Timothy wounded Ms. Meade, she fled from the room to tend to her injury. However, when she removed her hand from the wound, a white substance began to leak out of her body rather than blood. Despite her violent encounter, she is seen looking very much alive in the “Forbidden Fruit” promo video. Is Ms. Meade a supernatural creature? Who else knows just how different she is from the survivors at Outpost 3?

3. Mallory Encounters Langdon

When Langdon (Cody Fern) first arrived at Venable’s compound, he informed the survivors that it was only a matter of time before Outpost 3 was overrun and they all died. In order to be taken to an impenetrable location, each person would be required to meet with Langdon, who would decide whether they are worthy enough to be saved. Those deemed unworthy would be left at Outpost 3 to die. When Mallory (Billie Lourd) arrived with Coco (Leslie Grossman), Mr. Gallant (Evan Peters) and Evie (Joan Collins), she was forced to become a servant. Annoyed with her low position, Mallory finally gets her turn with Langdon, but it doesn’t seem like it will go very well. In the FX promo video, Mallory yells at Michael and demands he let her go. Will Mallory fail to secure her survival in the apocalypse?

4. Someone May Die

In the “American Horror Story” Season 8, Episode 3 promo video, Venable tells the residents of Outpost 3 they should savor Halloween night as if it were their last. Viewers previously learned that Venable and Ms. Meade secretly set up a resident to be murdered just to make a point. Will Venable attempt to kill off another person in order to better her chances of being taken to the impenetrable location?

“American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 3 airs Wednesday at 3 p.m. EDT on FX.
