Following the release of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 7, fans are beginning to suspect Mallory, one of the students at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies, will not only take down Michael Langdon but that she will also save the world.

During the Wednesday night episode of the FX series, Mallory (Billie Lourd) surprised Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) when she brought Coco (Leslie Grossman) back to life after the socialite choked on a snowball.

While most witches use draining spells to resurrect others, Mallory effortlessly used her powers to cut open Coco’s throat, remove the snowball and bring her back to life. However, this isn’t the first time Mallory has saved a life.

In episode 6, not only did the witch save a deer, but she also turned it into a young fawn, turning back time for the animal and giving it a second chance at a full life. At the rate Mallory’s powers are evolving, fans are beginning to believe the young witch may be the Christ to Michael’s (Cody Fern) antichrist.

Although it is clear the apocalypse will happen, a scene from “AHS: Hotel” suggests Mallory may have been able to reverse time on a larger scale. During Season 5 of the series, Billie Dean Howard (Sarah Paulson) is seen interviewing John Lowe’s (Wes Bentley) ghost at the Hotel Cortez in 2022. However, the apocalypse takes place in 2020.

If the “AHS: Murder House” medium, who also made an appearance in “American Horror Story” Season 8, is alive and well two years after the apocalypse, something drastic had to happen to bring the world back from complete and utter destruction.

Some fans believe Mallory could be an angel or the second coming of Christ, while others suspect she and Michael are yin and yang. Fans in a Reddit thread noted that Mallory seems to be the good to balance out everything that is bad about Michael.

Although she healed the deer and undid its wounds in episode 6, Michael also killed two women and destroyed their souls. While Michael thrives on destruction, Mallory gains peace from creating harmony.

Many fans suspect Mallory’s powers will develop to the point where she can recreate the world, but others strongly believe that the candle going out in reverse in the opening credits is a sign the young witch will turn back time and give the world a second chance.

“American Horror Story: Apocalypse” airs Wednesdays, at 8 p.m. EDT on FX.
