"American Horror Story: Hotel" Season 5 Spoilers
John (Wes Bentley) will get one step closer to unveiling the Ten Commandments Killer in Season 5, episode 8 of "American Horror Story: Hotel." FX

As Season 5 of “American Horror Story” winds down, fans inch closer and closer to learning who’s behind all the gruesome deaths. And considering the upcoming installment is titled “Ten Commandments Killer,” we have a feeling the mysterious murderer may finally be unveiled in episode 8 of “Hotel.”

In a promo video for the forthcoming installment, which is set to air in two weeks, Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson) tells John (Wes Bentley) that the answers he’s be so longing to uncover are closer than he thinks.

“You’re telling me the killer is in this room?” John asks the eternal hotel resident as she leads him down a hallway.

“I’m telling you there are answers on the other side of this door,” she replies.

So why exactly is Sally helping John track down a killer? Well, in the synopsis for episode 8, it’s revealed to audiences that Sally’s purpose at the Cortez isn’t to help John but to be of assistance to Mr. March (Evan Peters).

“Sally’s arrangement with Mr. March is revealed,” the summary notes, teasing that perhaps the former owner of the Cortez wants Sally to lead John to the killer (which fans have theorized is the detective himself!).

Episode 7 nearly confirmed to viewers that John is the Ten Commandments Killer when the detective broke one of the countess’ (Lady Gaga) little, blond babies out of a mental institution. (The child, named Wren, was locked up due to her participation in the horrific killings.)

John wanted Wren to lead him to the mass murderer, which is when she asked the detective if he planned on killing “him.”

“If I have to,” he says only to have Wren reply, “I really like you. I hate to see it end.” That’s when the child surprisingly and suspiciously runs into oncoming traffic. That scene left us with a lot of questions:

  • Why didn't Wren want John to find and kill the murderer?

  • Was Wren the one who assisted John in the killings?

  • Did John take to Wren because she reminded him of his own children?

  • Is Wren even dead? Do vampires die after getting hit by cars?

Needless to say we have a lot of questions and hopefully they’ll be answered when “American Horror Story: Hotel” returns from its two week hiatus on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
