Smurf managed to manipulate J into giving her the benefit of the doubt, but on “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 3, the Cody family will begin to reconsider where their loyalties lie.

“Craig (Ben Robson) feels the pressure of pulling off Frankie’s (Dichen Lachman) increasingly complicated job,” the synopsis for “Man Vs. Rock” teases.

In the TNT promo video, Frankie tells Craig their next job will be a puzzle. Craig has grown to like Frankie’s less dangerous approach to pulling off jobs, however, his desire to involve his family will complicate the upcoming heist.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, Frankie has a meeting with Deran (Jake Weary) and Craig. After failing to come up with solutions for issues with the heist, Frankie reminds Craig that she brought the job to him, not the Cody family.

Will Craig abandon his family to join Frankie on a less dangerous criminal path?

“J (Finn Cole) grows frustrated with Mia (Sohvi Rodriguez),” the “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 3 synopsis says.

In the “Man Vs. Rock” promo video, J tells Mia that she needs to show up where and when he tells her. In episode 3, J was upset when he learned Mia hired her alleged foster brother to work at the bowling alley. Although Mia is his only ally, will J begin to doubt her loyalties?

“Deran tries to get Pope (Shawn Hatosy) out of the house,” the synopsis for the TNT drama states.

In the promo video, Deran tells Pope that they are family and he knows he can rely on him. In the previous episode, Craig told Deran that Pope was spiraling out of control and couldn’t be trusted to pull off another job. Deran will attempt to manipulate his older brother’s emotions, but is Pope a lost cause?

“Smurf (Ellen Barkin) decides she needs answers,” the synopsis teases. In the promo video, Smurf is heard saying that she knows it’s bad and wants the truth.

In the previous episode, Smurf passed out in the hallway after taking drugs she got from Craig’s stash. It appears she will land herself in the hospital and learn more about her medical condition.

Could this be the beginning of the end for Smurf or will she use her condition to manipulate the Cody boys into coming back home?

“Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 3 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
