Talking head and political provocateur Ann Coulter praised the way Paris police responded to a terrorist assaulting victims with a hammer Tuesday and then criticized the response from London’s Mayor Saddiq Khan about the terrorist attack Saturday night.

"We're hectored to be like the French on adultery & global warming," she said on Twitter, commenting on the appearance of the French cops. "Why can't we be like the French on hiring large, strong men as cops?"

"Paris police very macho, unlike the little girls on NYPD: Only 2 shots fired, one hit the Muslim in the thorax," she also wrote.

The tweets come in response to an attack on a policeman in Paris with a hammer Tuesday. The assailant shouted "this is for Syria" before another policeman shot the man in the chest, BBC reported.

The policeman suffered minor injuries, whereas the yet-unnamed attacker sustained was being treated in a hospital.

Prosecutors have opened up a terrorism investigation on the incident, and it was reported that the attacker carried kitchen knives and the identity card of an Algerian student, French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb said Tuesday, according to the BBC.

Immediately following the tweet about the response from the French police, Coulter sent out another tweet attacking Khan, who had praised the London police’s "swift response" to the terrorist attack at the London Bridge Saturday night.

"London Mayor then blathered about how excellent the police's response was to TERRORISM. 'You saw last night a...the swift response …'" she continued.

Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, has been at the center of an ongoing Twitter feud with President Donald Trump. Trump, a few hours after the attack in London which left seven dead and 48 wounded, began attacking Khan on Twitter.

"Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his 'no reason to be alarmed' statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!" tweeted Trump, who, like Coulter, took Khan’s words out of context.

Here’s the full statements from Khan:

"My message to Londoners and visitors to our great city is to be calm and vigilant today," Khan said. "You will see an increased police presence today, including armed officers and uniformed officers."

"There is no reason to be alarmed by this," he continued. "We are the safest global city in the world. You saw last night as a consequence of our planning, our preparation, the rehearsals that take place, the swift response from the emergency services tackling the terrorists and also helping the injured."

Prompted by Trump’s attacks on him, the London mayor has called for Prime Minister Theresa May to rescind any future invitations to the American president.

"I don't think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for," Khan said.

May has refused to criticize the president but said that Khan has her full backing.

No date for such a meeting has been scheduled and British ally of Trump, Boris Johnson said Tuesday that there’s no reason for the president to cancel any meeting coming up.
