KEY POINTS

  • An Arizona middle school teacher made an OnlyFans account in an attempt to make ends meet
  • She filmed adult content with her husband, with one of the videos being filmed in a classroom outside school hours
  • The woman resigned from her job and her husband was fired after their account was reported

An Arizona teacher who admitted to filming adult content in a classroom resigned from her job "under pressure" after her OnlyFans account was reported to police and her school, she claimed.

Samantha Peer began creating explicit content in the summer while she was still an eighth-grade teacher at Thunderbolt Middle School in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Her husband, former Nautilus Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Dillon Peer, was also involved in the filming, NewsChannel 8 reported.

Samantha said in a video posted to her social media Friday that her salary did not increase even though the five-year Thunderbolt Middle School employee became a master science specialist and teacher. Due to this, she said she and Dillon created their shared OnlyFans account to help pay for basic necessities their salaries were no longer meeting.

In addition to being a teacher, Samantha was the adviser to her school's STEM club, a co-adviser to the yearbook club and a mentor for several uncertified teachers. She was also supposed to coach softball in the spring, she claimed.

"My children are the most important thing to me, and I am already spending countless hours outside of my contract time on extra school activities. I don't think it's fair I have to sacrifice my own children's time because our professional salary did not pay enough," Samantha said in her statement.

Samantha, who used the alias Khloe Karter for her OnlyFans account, admitted to filming explicit content on school grounds. One video was created after school hours on the weekend, but she said that no minors were ever present or involved in any of her videos.

Samantha also blocked the whole of Arizona so her account would not be accessible to anyone living in the state.

Despite taking these precautions, Samantha was put on paid administrative leave and probation after a community member expressed concerns to police and Thunderbolt Middle School regarding her video content on Oct. 24.

Samantha said she resigned "under pressure" from the Lake Havasu Unified School District, which oversees the Peers' schools, a week later on Oct. 31.

Meanwhile, Dillon was terminated on Nov. 4. He was classified as a long-term sub and had an at-will contract, which meant he could be dismissed for any reason at any time.

The superintendent allegedly assured Samantha that her school would not publicize the incident if she resigned before a scheduled board meeting.

However, the social media accounts Samantha used to advertise her OnlyFans went viral after she stepped down. Former students and community members followed her alias accounts as well.

Students were never aware of Samantha's social media accounts nor did they follow her before she resigned.

School teachers allegedly spread Samantha's alias to students and showed them her page. The alias was also sent to parents, who also spread it.

"They were sharing my anonymous name and content page with their children and allowing them to comment and follow on my accounts although they are specifically labeled as not safe for work and 18+ only," Samantha said.

Parents are still allowing their children to follow, contact, harass and intimidate Samantha, the former teacher claimed.

These parents are also allegedly posting Samantha's personal address online and threatening to show her minor children revenge porn.

Samantha said she "wholly" regrets creating the video in the classroom but believes her name should not be smeared "when I made one mistake that didn't affect anybody until other adults began allowing children access to my content."

"It has been quite concerning to me that parents are continuing to allow their children to comment, harass me and my family and threaten myself as well as others connected to my social media as well as follow pages that they knew themselves are not appropriate for minors," Samantha, who lost her teaching certificate following the ordeal, said.

Samantha's OnlyFans account has been deactivated, and she has been blocked from making a new one, she claimed on Twitter. All of her customers and subscribers were refunded.

Lake Havasu Unified School District sent parents an email regarding the situation, CBS 5 reported.

"It has come to our attention that students have been airdropping explicit material. The images did not happen during the school day and the person depicted no longer works for LHUSD. Please remove all images from your child's phone and talk with them about the appropriate use of technology," the message read.
