It takes a lot of work to look like a superhero. Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan were recently seen at a Drive495 gym in New York making sure that Black Widow and Winter Soldier are still in shape for “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Celebrity trainer Don Saladino posted a photo Monday on Instagram to reveal that Johansson joined Stan and his friends for a workout. The “Ghost in the Shell” actress rocked mostly black athletic wear, but she brightened up the outfit with some purple Nikes and a red headband. It looks way more comfortable that Black Widow’s usual black suit. Stan, meanwhile, was representing his alma mater with his Rutgers University t-shirt.

Saladino, who also works with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, didn’t reveal much about the training session. “#gymmafia bringing in a special appearance,” he wrote. The rest of his caption was simply a preview of the diet and exercise advice he’ll be giving this week (which will focus on staying healthy over Memorial Day weekend).

Johansson and Stan may simply go to the same gym. After all, they both reside in New York. However, Marvel fans can’t help but wonder if they’ll be fighting together in “Avengers: Infinity War.”

In “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and “Captain America: Civil War,” Natasha and Bucky have up in some pretty violent fights. However, if Black Panther’s scientists in Wakanda can fix Bucky’s brainwashing, Winter Soldier and Black Widow might end up fighting alongside each other to defeat Thanos in “Infinity War.”

Some comic books fans might even be hoping for more than a good fight sequence. Natasha and Bucky have a romance in the source material, but fans will have to wait and see if the movies follow the same storyline.

“Avengers: Infinity War” has been filming since January in Atlanta, but it isn’t clear if Stan and Johansson have started shooting. The Winter Soldier actor hinted that he is training for the role last week when he posted a selfie to Instagram with the hashtag #WS, presumably for his character. He was pictured with stuntman Greg Rementer and fight coordinator James Young.

Even when he’s not preparing for a movie, however, Stan is in the gym. “The thing about the movies is we get to do one every other year or so, and then a lot of the time, it’s up to you about what you do in between that,” he explained to Fox5NY in February. “You can’t really go, at least for me, I don’t like to kind of go off on a weird yo-yo diet or something where I lose all the work that I’ve put in.”

Marvel fans know that tons of actors are training right now for “Infinity War.” The cast is massive, and the movie is set to unite all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and more are set to team up to take out Thanos (Josh Brolin), who is collecting the dangerous Infinity Stones. The veterans might even need help from some new heroes. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) is rumored to be joining the cast as well.

“Avengers: Infinity War” is set to hit theaters May 4, 2018.
