Update 3/9/20 12:15 p.m. EDT-- It has since been reported that Barbara's comment may have been about Peter's finalist Hannah Ann.

Original Story:

For the entire 2020 season of “The Bachelor,” ABC has been teasing fans with a clip of Peter Weber’s mother, Barbara, emotionally telling her son to “bring her home.” On Monday night’s episode, viewers received more footage from the event in a finale preview, but the series has yet to reveal the mystery person she’s talking about.

So who is Peter’s mom crying about in the preview? Could it be in reference to finalists Madison Prewett or Hannah Ann Sluss? We may finally have some answers.

[Warning: Spoilers Below!]

In the newly released footage, Barbara tells Peter, “Don’t let her go. Bring her home. Bring her home to us. That’s what love stories are made out of.”

While fans might be paying close attention to Barbara’s comments in the clip, Peter’s clothing may be what actually gives us a clue about who she is discussing.

Late last month, The Sun released never-before-seen pictures from Peter’s finale date with Madison in Australia. In it, he can be seen wearing what appears to be the very same blue, button down shirt from the “bring her home” scene. Could this mean his mom is talking about Madison? After all, finale week is not the first time she met her. Madison was previously introduced to Peter’s parents during her first one-on-one date early on in the season.

In a Feb. 25 blog post, blogger Reality Steve noted that he was still unsure who Peter’s mom is referring to in the clip, but did note the shirt connection. He also reiterated his findings that Madison self-eliminates after meeting Peter’s parents in the final week, which could play into the theory that Barbara is referencing Madison.

“...so that eliminates one of the questions I had which was ‘Does Madison leave before meeting his parents and that’s why Barb is saying don’t let her go, bring her home to us?’ Well no, Madison didn’t leave before meeting them, so now we know it’s sometime after that. I’m pretty sure it’s on final rose ceremony day when she leaves,” he wrote.

Despite these clues, he shared that the person Barbara is discussing is still a “question mark.”

“If we assume she says it on the same date as Peter and Madison meeting them, how does that fit in? I’m not sure,” he wrote, adding, “Could be Madison. Could be Hannah Ann. We don’t know for sure.”

While it appears viewers will have to wait until the finale (or until Reality Steve shares more) to learn the truth, it has been reported that Peter ends his season with Madison. The spoiler blogger most recently said that he hasn’t received “solid confirmation” about Peter’s winner but did note that he believes “Peter is trying to be with Madison” post-show.

Catch the beginning of “The Bachelor” Season 24 finale Monday, March 9, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
