  • Clare Crawley revealed she was mistreated by a "predator" priest
  • The priest in question was a counselor at her school
  • In July, she revealed being in a vicious cycle of unhealthy relationships

“Bachelorette” star Clare Crawley has revealed that she’s a survivor of sexual abuse. In the preview for the next episode of Facebook Watch’s “Red Table Talk: The Estefans,” Crawley revealed she was mistreated by a Catholic priest while attending school.

In the clip, Crawley said she grew up going to a Catholic school and became the victim of a “predator,” referring to the priest. “My parents looked at Catholic priests as—they held them on a pedestal,” she said, adding that faith and religion run “very deep” in her family’s roots.

Crawley, whose mother is of Mexican descent, also revealed why she couldn’t bring herself to trust a priest. At one point in the clip, co-host Gloria Estefan asked her, “How could you not trust a priest?” to which Crawley clarified that the priest she was referring to was known as a counselor at her school.

“My parents did the best they could and reached out for the resources they could at the time and sent me to this priest,” the “Bachelorette” alum explained. “I don’t think there was any counseling that was done. It was a one-on-one time to be a predator,” she added.

This isn’t the first time Crawley opened up about being a victim of sexual abuse. In July, she revealed in an Instagram post that she had decided to remove her breast implants. She said she was a child of sexual abuse and explained why she had to go under the knife.

“As a child of sexual abuse, my young adult years were spent in unhealthy relationships feeling unworthy of the good ones,” she captioned her post. “It was a vicious cycle because the more I chose the wrong men who treated me poorly, the more I believed I wasn’t good enough. Enter the breast implants. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to get them, but the truth is it was money that would have been better spent on therapy to heal my wounded heart. I ended up spending the money on therapy anyway, cut to now,” she continued.

Crawley was engaged to Dale Moss during her “Bachelorette” journey in 2020, but a source says that they have broken up for good.
