Bernie Sanders made waves last week when he pointed a finger at the extravagant indulgences of the ultra-wealthy in a tweet posted Thursday.

“How many yachts do billionaires need? How many cars do they need? Give us a break. You can’t have it all,” the Vermont senator wrote.

Social media users were quick to point out that the former Democratic presidential candidate, in fact, owns three separate homes, including a summer home on Lake Champlain. While by no means a billionaire, his spending habits are out of reach for many of the working Americans that Sanders has championed.

Sanders maintained that he ranked among the least wealthy members of the Senate.

“I remain one of the poorer members of the United States Senate,” he said during a presidential debate last year.

Sanders' claim is true, based on estimates of wealth in the Senate, where the median net worth in 2013 was around $2.8 million, according to NPR. Sanders himself had an estimated net worth of $160,000, according to a Roll Call survey.

Of the net worth of the 100 members, 18 senators had a net worth less than Sanders in 2014, according to Politifact. And of the 18 poorest senators, ten were republicans. The numbers were based on a Roll Call survey of congressional financial disclosure forms, which cautioned that the estimates can be “imperfect at best.”

The ten republican senators with a smaller net worth than Sanders are listed below.
