  • Samsung's new Galaxy S20 lineup have eye-watering prices
  • Carriers, however, offer ways to lower the cost of buying one
  • Savings range from $150 to getting  brand new unit

Samsung has already unveiled its new flagship lineup for the year – the Galaxy S20 series.

All three devices have better features compared to the Galaxy S10 series, and the highest-end model is the first of its kind to offer 100x zoom called “Space Zoom.”

Despite their attractive specs, however, everyone knows just how eye-watering they cost. Thankfully, Verizon and Sprint have launched deals that will allow just about anybody to get a Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra at lower prices, Android Authority reported. Here's a look at their offers.

Verizon

Those who want to get one Galaxy S20+ unit from Verizon can avail of up to $150 in potential savings, bringing the price down from $1,200 to $1,050. The savings will come in the form of bill credits scattered throughout the course of payments. This is done by signing up for monthly payments

Those who have an older device can get another $300 in credit when they trade it in. Not all devices are eligible for trade-in, though. Eligible devices include Samsung's Galaxy S9 and newer, as well as Google's Pixel 3 and newer.

Those who have a family member or friend who also wants to get a Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra can get the second device for free. All consumers need to do is to add both devices to the cart, then add one of them as a new smartphone line on an Unlimited plan. Buyers will receive $1,200 bill credits for a Galaxy S20+ or $1,050 for a Galaxy S20 Ultra, scattered across the payment period.

Sprint

Those who want to get a Galaxy S20 but don't have money to buy can get one for free via Sprint. Well, technically it's not free since consumers will have to trade-in an eligible device to get one. The good thing here is that, with Sprint's Flex Lease plan, Sprint will receive the device “in any condition” as long as it is included in the list of eligible unlocked devices.

Those who want a Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra can also trade-in an eligible device to save a lot of money. Those who trade-in a device for the Galaxy S20+ will save up to $41.67 per month for 18 months, and those who trade-in for a Galaxy S20 Ultra will save up to $41.67 per month for 18 months as well.
