Bill Cosby’s eyesight may be better than he is leading on. The 81-year-old comic claims to be legally blind and has been using the assistance of his fellow inmates to get around but a new report suggests otherwise.

Cosby, who was sent to the SCI-Phoenix prison in Pennsylvania in November, may have undergone a high-tech and secretive procedure to restore his eyesight shortly before he was put behind bars, a source told Radar Online.

“Mr. Cosby was treated for his condition the Sunday prior to his sentencing,” the source said. “Though he doesn’t have perfect vision, he has better eyesight than most 80-some-year-olds I’ve seen.”

Cosby’s blindness was revealed just days before he went on trial. The comedian appeared in court with a cane and the assistance of an aide. While Cosby used the cane to find his way around, he has been criticized for walking behind the aide rather than by their side, which could cause a tripping hazard.

Cosby is serving three to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand. He also has another case pending with Chloe Goins, which he is looking to have dismissed, claiming the statute of limitations has run out.
