Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge have named their newborn daughter “Bodhi,” TMZ reported Wednesday, citing a birth certificate. In Buddhism, the name refers to Buddha’s enlightenment, which is associated with a state of nirvana.

Bodhi is Bobby Brown’s sixth child and the sister to their son Cassius. Bobby Brown has four other children, including Bobbi Kristina Brown, from his previous relationships. Bodhi was the name of Patrick Swayze’s character in the 1991 film “Point Break.” Last year, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green also named their second child Bodhi, TMZ reported.

Etheredge is Bobby Brown’s second wife after the late Whitney Houston, the mother of Bobbi Kristina. Houston and Bobby Brown divorced in 2007. In 2012, Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Bobbi Kristina was also found unconscious in a bathtub at her Atlanta home in January this year, giving rise to speculation of foul play. Her boyfriend Nick Gordon currently faces a lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina’s legal conservator, which alleges that he physically abused her and stole her money.

The new dad has been constantly at the bedside of Bobbi Kristina since she was found unconscious on Jan. 31. She is currently at the Peachtree Christian Hospice and has been diagnosed with an irreversible brain damage.

"You know, rough times are rough times," Bobbi Brown said at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles in April, according to Us Weekly, adding: "Hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now, but I'm giving it to God and letting him deal with it."
