A healthy 10-year-old girl from England died with no warnings after collapsing into her mother’s lap.

The girl, identified as Maisie Gooderham, complained of a headache and moments later, she collapsed into her mother’s lap. The girl was rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed that the girl had suffered a catastrophic brain bleed. The doctors immediately placed her into an induced coma. However, two weeks later, decision was made to remove her life support after she did not respond to the treatment. Before the life support was taken off, her parents were allowed to spend one day and night with her.

"After we decided to take the tube out, we were able to stay with her for the night. They allowed me to get into bed with her. On Maisie's last day we did a memory day. They gave her as much time as possible. We painted her hands and feet and took prints. We took locks of her hair and her fingerprints. We had some professional pictures taken. The chaplain came and blessed her," her mother, 47-year-old Sally told Cambridgeshire Live.

Maisie breathed her last one hour and 20 minutes after her life support was removed.

Sally told the outlet that they "had no prior warnings." The girl had an aneurysm in the brain that caused traumatic bleeding. She called her daughter’s condition a "time bomb ticking in her head that could have gone off at any time."

"We're just truly thankful it was with us," she added. The girl’s organs were later removed for donation.

Describing her daughter as an animal lover who loved spending time with family and pets, Sally said, "She had her own YouTube channel and did TikToks. Sometimes she would phone up the house pretending she was from a pizza delivery place with an Italian accent."
