Brandi Glanville got candid about her marriage to Eddie Cibrian and his affair with LeAnn Rimes.

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star penned an op-ed for The Sun where she detailed the ultimate betrayal she experienced during their marriage. According to the Bravo star, she thought she had the "best husband and the best marriage" until she learned about his affair with the "I Need You" singer.

"I HAD the best husband and the best marriage – or so I thought," she wrote. "Eddie and I got along great and had the best sex life. I was madly in love and felt like I had the perfect life. But like Martha Hancock, I discovered my husband was cheating when he was caught on camera kissing the new woman in his life."

In 2008, Cibrian shot a movie with Rimes and she saw them when she visited him on the set. However, it was reportedly "not a fun visit" because she noticed that they were attracted to each other. Rimes' husband at the time, Dean Sheremet, was also there.

"Then one day, I ran to the grocery store and pictures of Eddie and LeAnn making out in a restaurant were plastered across magazine Us Weekly," she continued. "I went online on my phone — and it was everywhere. There was video footage of them kissing over the table. It was devastating. I went straight home, passed out in my closet, cried and cried. He tried to convince me it wasn’t real but I knew it was over."

Glanville added that she didn't want her kids — Mason, now 18, and Jake, 14, —around Rimes because "she’d got my husband and she was NOT getting my children." She also admitted that she was so furious back then that she wanted to kill Rimes.

"One time, before they were married, I walked up to a soccer game and Jake, who was two, was sitting in her lap," Glanville shared. "I had this rage in my body. I really wanted to kill her. I walked over to her, grabbed Jake and I looked at her and said: ‘I will f---ing murder you.’"

Glanville said there were warning signs and admitted that she was a very jealous spouse. She recalled the times she could not contact Cibrian who claimed that his phone had died. She would also visit him on set and noticed that he had chemistry with some of his co-stars, but whenever she asked him if "something had gone down," he would only tell her that she was "crazy."

"He’d say I was jealous and that he loved me. Then I’d think it was my fault, that I really was being crazy. But in my gut I knew I was probably right," she added.

Glanville eventually confronted Cibrian and asked him if he loved Rimes, but he denied it. "He wanted to be with me for ever and for us to go for counseling," she continued.

However, weeks later, she saw another woman being interviewed on Access Hollywood saying Cibrian also cheated on her with Rimes. She identified the woman as Scheana Marie who later appeared on "Vanderpump Rules." That made Glanville realize that her husband had been cheating on her.

The reality star admitted that there was a point when she wanted to take revenge. In fact, she recorded Cibrian's message telling her how much he loved her and sent the recording to Rimes.

"I wanted her to know what he was saying. I was out for revenge. But all the energy I was putting into revenge was eating away at me. I couldn’t move on," she continued.

Glanville has since moved on from her ex-husband and Rimes' affair. In fact, she is now friends with "The Mask" winner.

"These days, I love LeAnn, who married Eddie in 2011. She’s great and we all hang out together. I’ve forgiven her," she added. "We’re going to be around each other for ever because of the kids, so why not make the best of it?

"Eddie and I still squabble, but it’s like the three of us are doing the parenting — it’s nice to have a third person and she’s usually on my side."

Glanville filed for divorce in 2009 after Cibrian went public with his romance with Rimes.

The exes co-parent their kids with Rimes and they consider themselves a "modern family." In January 2020, Rimes shared with People her part in co-parenting Glanville and Cibrian's children.

"You have to consider everyone’s feelings and you have to allow people to have them and you can’t take them personally," she said.

"Nobody’s fighting, nobody’s doing anything weird… it’s interesting, the kids are older now, it’s fun. The kids are happy and that’s all that matters."
