Brooke Shields is "beginning to mend" after breaking her femur.

Giving fans a health update after injuring her right leg, Shields shared a video of her recovery on Instagram Sunday.

"Broke my femur. Beginning to mend. No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, for yourself, to move forward. #BeginningisNow," she captioned the video.

In the clip, the "Jane The Virgin" star, 55, can be seen with crutches and practicing how to walk in a hospital. It also showed Shields sporting a hospital gown and non-slip socks.

"There's only 20% weight," Shields said in the video of how much weight she puts on her injured leg. "The goal is to bend your knee each time like a little bit, just so you're not dragging it or hitching up your hip."

Celebrities and fans quickly showed Shields some love and left her sweet messages on Instagram.

Actress Glenn Close commented on Shields' post, writing, "Brooke! So sorry! Courage... it's in your blood. Sending love, Glenn."

Sharon Stone extended a helping hand, saying, "Oh crap honey I am so sorry. Let me know how you're doing. R u home out west? I can bring food."

Model Helena Christensen said she was glad to meet Shields. "You looked so well and beautiful and I know this is a tough one," she wrote.

Meanwhile, Shields previously spoke about working out amid the COVID-19 lockdown with her husband producer Chris Henchy and their daughters, Rowan, 17 and Grier, 14.

"I used to get fit doing Broadway shows eight times a week but I always did it for the show or for the job because the camera is not always kind. So there was a vanity reason. I never knew I could find a place of peace that did not deal with outside appearances," she said in an interview with People in October last year.

During the lockdown, the "Blue Lagoon" actress inspired people to stay fit by often posting her workout videos on Instagram.

In April 2020, she posted a video of herself working out using an exercise ball. "I got a new piece of equipment for my at home workouts! You can use this exercise ball for a lot of different moves — this one targets the glutes and hamstrings," she captioned it.

She also encouraged her fans to focus on health back in July. "#MondayMotivation to get moving today! Try the penguin. it’s harder than it seems... keep your stomach tight and work your obliques," she posted on Instagram.
