BTS' Jimin is gearing up for his official solo debut.

During a Weverse live broadcast with fans Friday, the 27-year-old singer confirmed that he is set to release his first-ever solo album by next month.

"I think the album I've been working on is going to drop in around March," Jimin said, according to Soompi. "I'm currently preparing lots of things that I can do together with you guys around that time. I'm planning lots of different kinds of things we can do to have fun together and enjoy ourselves, so I think you can safely look forward to it."

He continued, "You've been waiting for such a long time that I wanted to quickly announce this news first before starting [the rest of the broadcast]."

Rumors of Jimin debuting as a soloist began circulating earlier this year after several media outlets reported that the singer's first-ever solo album was expected to be released in February.

At the time, BTS' label Bighit Music did not confirm or deny the report.

Instead, the company explained in a statement provided to XportNews and MyDaily that it is "currently coordinating schedules with regards to BTS Jimin's solo and will share more details once finalized," India's Rolling Stone reported.

The multitalented artist's album announcement comes amid BTS' hiatus as a group, which the band announced in June last year. Since then, the members have been focusing on solo projects.

J-Hope, Jin, and RM made their official solo debuts last year, releasing "Jack in the Box" in July, "The Astronaut" in October and "Indigo" in December, respectively.

In the past year, Jimin was featured in several collaborative tracks outside of BTS' discography, including "With You" alongside Ha Sung-Woon. He was also featured with fellow band members Jin, V and Jungkook in Snoop Dogg and Benny Blanco's "Bad Decisions," according to NME.

In January, Jimin collaborated with Bigbang's Taeyang for the track "Vibe," which recently debuted at No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and made it to the top 10 of Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, ranking ninth. It marked both singers' first entries as solo artists on the charts.

BTS members Jungkook, V and Suga have yet to make an announcement regarding their solo projects. But all seven members are expected to make a comeback as a group in 2025 after they finish serving mandatory military service in South Korea.

The eldest BTS member, Jin, 30, enlisted in the military in December last year and is expected to complete his service in 18 months.
