BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have renewed their partnership with UNICEF to support the "Love Myself" campaign and continue their efforts to end violence and create a kinder world.

"Love Myself" is a global anti-violence movement that aims to encourage love and kindness and promote the self-esteem and well-being of children and young people. BTS started it in 2017, in partnership with the Korean and Japanese Committee for UNICEF.

On Friday, UNICEF Korea Committee announced that it will expand the social contribution agreement with BTS and its agency for the campaign by 2022.

BTS shared a virtual message to commemorate the renewal of partnership and pledged to continue the "Love Myself" campaign in a special announcement video posted by UNICEF on YouTube. The members also announced that they will be donating over $1 million to UNICEF.

BTS' Jimin, who is known for supporting charitable causes and his philanthropic efforts, received a lot of attention for his positive message.

"I think before the campaign, I just vaguely thought I'd rather see genuine joy instead of forced smiles or tears," he shared.

"All the members and I started this campaign so that more people could genuinely smile. I thought we are doing this for people around us, but I realized as time passed that many changes also happened within myself. I came to ask myself if my smile is also genuine, and I was able to really open the doors into my heart through LOVE MYSELF," the singer continued.

"I was also really surprised how so many people were eager and sincere about taking part in this campaign, and that's what helped me console myself and grow even more," he added as he reflected on his healing process and expressed his gratitude to his fans.

Jimin, who is rightfully known to his fans as the "healing fairy," has inspired many to step forward and take action for various causes through his actions. The singer recently donated $84,000 to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation to help provide scholarships for needy students.

Meanwhile, it was also revealed that the profits from BTS' "Love Yourself" albums and the proceeds of "Love Myself" merchandise will also be donated to UNICEF to support the cause.
