The South Korean rapper and member of the boy band BTS, Suga is receiving applause from netizens for his inspiring words to one of the trainees in the band who was insecure about his looks.

The highly praised incident happened during the recent episode of the Mnet survival program, "I-LAND," when members of the boy band got into the shoes of senior mentors to give valuable advice to their trainees, Allkpop reports.

During the show, one of the trainees, K, shared that he is often jealous of other trainees who are "much more handsome," to which Suga immediately responded and said, "Can't you see how someone like me also debuted?"

He was backed by another member of the band, J-Hope, who said, "Me too, Hyung, me too! Look at me and have hope."

Suga’s comments got the netizens crazy. They said that BTS members are generally good-humored and they "laugh at their own past, including unflattering photos of themselves,” and that it is people like Suga who "truly have confidence."

"BTS members are rarely bothered by issues related to appearances. They are only sensitive when their main vocation (music, etc.) is ignored," a netizen commented.

Suga’s hilarious counters did not end there. When member V, said that it is "more important to have your individual charm than to be handsome," Suga said, "You can say that because you have individual charm and good looks all at the same time." His comments lightened the mood of the episode.

When RM, the leader of the band, made remarks calling himself an "inadequate leader," Suga quickly defended him, saying, "That's a true leader."

"It's so great to see them truly promoting the idea of 'Love Yourself' while showing love for each other as a group," a netizen wrote.

BTS has got the fans on their toes after they released the teaser to their new single, "Dynamite." The English single is set to release on Aug. 21.

"We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible," the band revealed on the Korean broadcasting app V Live. "The song is upbeat and sung in English, just like 'MIC Drop' and 'Waste It on Me.' We thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh."

"Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans," they added.
