  • Antetokounmpo and Middleton are listed as out for the Bucks against the Pistons
  • The Bucks hold a 2-0 edge over the Pistons in their regular-season series

The Detroit Pistons could use a win on Monday, January 23 and avoid a fourth-consecutive loss.

The bad news is that they have to do this against a powerhouse team the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Pistons host the Bucks on Sunday in a battle of two NBA clubs coming off losses.

While Detroit does hold the home-court advantage, it may take more than that to pull off a win against a more talented Bucks quintet.

Detroit dropped a 108-126 decision to the Chicago Bulls, their third-straight setback in Paris, France.

The Pistons were unable to contain the tandem of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan in a game that Killian Hayes, the only French player on the Detroit roster, hoped would be a win in their favor.

"It was a bit frustrating to not be the winners tonight," Hayes said.

Bojan Bogdanovic led the losing cause of the Pistons with 25 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Hamidou Diallo added 17 markers, while Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey chipped in 16 points each.

The Pistons are averaging 112 points per contest and are 25th in the league. They also have an offensive rating of 110.6.

On defense, Detroit is allowing opponents to score 119.6 points per game and is that the 29th spot at the moment. Their defensive rating is 118, 29th in the league.

The Bucks, who have a 2-0 edge in their regular season series over the Pistons, are coming off a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 102-114.

Jrue Holiday led the Bucks' loss with 28 points and 10 assists, whereas Bobby Portis chipped in 23 markers and 11 rebounds in the losing effort.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton did not see action in that loss. Both are listed as out in this match with Detroit.

The Bucks are scoring 112.4 points per game with an offensive rating of 111.4.

Defensively, they are giving up 111.4 points per contest with a rating of 110.3.

The Bucks are -8 spread favorites over the Pistons, who are at +8.

Meanwhile, the moneyline is -624 for Milwaukee and +463 for Detroit.

The match can be watched via the NBA League Pass and through fuboTV at 7:00 PM ET.
