Police in Florida busted a burglary and arrested two people after one of them called 911 to get help moving stuff from the house they burglarized.

Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a residence Saturday after they received a call from a number, but no one spoke over the phone. The responding officers who entered through the unlocked door concluded that nobody lived in the residence but found the two suspects, a male and a female, inside.

Cops soon identified the male suspect as he was wanted for a burglary at a Dollar General store in Poinciana, Florida, where several items were stolen earlier that day, New York Post reported.

The female suspect said she had called 911 to get help from law enforcement to move the things they had burglarized. The duo also wanted to get a ride to the airport to spend the weekend in New York, the Sheriff's office said.

"Deputies DID help them with their belongings, and DID give them a ride, but it wasn't to the airport ... it was to the Polk Pokey. And they are welcome to stay there all weekend long. The Polk Pokey is much better than New York anyway," the Sheriff's office said in a Facebook post, NBC Miami reported.

The unidentified male suspect faces charges both for burglary at the store and the residence, while the female suspect faces charges related to the burglary at the residence, reports said.

In a similar incident, a shoplifter in Florida landed in an awkward situation last month after he got stuck at a store's locked door while trying to flee with stolen goods. The incident happened at a Rainbow Clothing store in Broward County and was caught on the store's surveillance camera.

Footage showed the man trying to kick the door open while an employee eventually unlocked it. The shoplifter then knocked the employee to the ground before grabbing the clothes worth around $200 and running out of the store.
