A California teacher had sex with a teen student and sent him explicit messages telling him, “I’m only yours.”

According to the court documents filed Tuesday, McFarland High School officials confiscated the cell phones of two students earlier this month after they appeared to be under the influence. During the investigation, the officials found a message from “Elvia” on one of the students' phone asking if he wanted to grab breakfast. When questioned, the 17-year-old student said the person messaging him was a teacher named Elvia Gonzalez. He also allowed the officials to view their text messages following which the teacher was placed on administrative leave. The principal of the school immediately informed the police about it following which the accused was taken into custody on Oct. 12.

During interrogation, the unidentified teen told police that he began talking to Gonzalez in August this year because she offered to tutor him. The two then exchanged phone numbers and eventually began meeting outside school. He said the accused would pick him up and the two would have sex in her car. He added they last had sex in the first week of this month.

He went on to reveal that she sent him messages saying that “I can’t breathe without you” and “I’m only yours” and also sent him a photo of herself in her undergarments. He said they had sex around 15 times and half the times without protection. He added that they also showered together at the teacher’s home when her children were away.

Gonzalez was charged with “unlawful sexual intercourse” and “contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense.” The investigation was ongoing.
